Tianjin is lying in the northeast of North China Plain. It is 120 kilometers southeast of Beijing and borders the Bohai Sea in the east. This municipality directly under the Central Government covers an area of over 11,000 square kilometers and has a population of 9.27 million.

Historic changes in the past 600 years have made Tianjin a unqie city with a mixture of ancient and modern in both Chinese and Western styles. The city has developed a tourist pattern with its downtown area as its main body which is supported by Tanggu and Jixian County. In Palace, Dabei temple, Muslim temple and on its outskirts there are Panshan Mountain, Dule temple and White Pagoda. Tianjin is regarded as a bridge pearl on the Beijing-Tianjin itinerary.
Tianta lake Scenic Area
Tianjin TV Tower (Tianta in short) is the only tower on the water in the world and is a good place for sightseeing, food, entertainment and broadcasting and television.
Memorial Hall of Zhou Enlai & Deng Yingchao
The hall was built and opened to the public at the eve of 100th birthday of late Premier Zhou Enlai on February 28, 1998. The memorial hall has preface hall, biography hall, letter hall, artistic goods hall, video showing hall, multi-funtion hall, guest hall, pictures and reference materials hall, cultural relics storeroom, and document research center.
Nine-Dragon Mountain
Some 20 kilometers east of Jixian County seat, it is the largest forest park of the city and covers an area of 13.98 million square meters. In the scenic area the forest coverage reaches 90 percent. The forests, ancient caves, fantastic peaks and beautiful natural pictures. It is a good place to enjoy flowers in spring, waterfalls in summer, fruits in autumn and green trees in winter.
Heping Road
Heping Road is a traditional commercial street and has a long history. After it was updated in 2001, it has become the longest commercial pedestrian street in China. Well-stocked shops, Chinese-Western architectural buildings and crowded people impress you with a bustling metropolis while purchasing.
